Yeah I have done that before. I just .. not sure which CAN be run together, which should be kept on start up, which are unneeded because I already got something else, which are totally dumb, and which are stupid..

The only thing that really needs to start as far as security is concerned is your anti-virus software, you don't want to turn that off.

If you don't know what a program is, leave it on, there are operating system modules that you do not want to shut off.

I was able to shut off Spybot by turning off tea timer because I knew that was part of that program.

For example, if you don't want IM programs to start, turn them off, you can always turn them on once you are up and running and need to use them.

I shut all the instant messaging software stuff off because it runs in the background needlessly.

Well yeah I don't have any IM start.

I am talking security stuff.

Like:
Superantispyware
Secunia
Spybot-SD Resident (but as you said I can turn that off)
Cobian Backup
OpenDNS
PC Probe
Sandboxie
Sygate Firewall
a-squared Anti-Dialer Guard
and of course my AntiVirus

Looks like you have way too much running, find out what you need security wise to start up, check on the SpyBot Search forum and ask those security geeks.

Ask them if they see conflicts with those programs running at the same time, also ask them if you need all that stuff.

See what they think about running SpyBot and Spyware Blaster side by side too if you would.
