Sarah Palin didn’t give a tea party speech last night. She gave a partisan Republican address. It was a purely political speech designed to position her for a presidential run in 2012 or 2016. Period. She wasn’t there to celebrate the organic nature of a movement she had nothing to do with creating. She was there to co-opt the name and claim the brand as hers. And she did.

The Republican party will be doomed if they nominate Palin in 2012, I think this is what Democrats are hoping happens though.

When Couric asked her about SCOTUS decisions and she couldn't spit out an answer, I knew she was a dill-head. I muttered at the tv, how about recent 2A and private property rights vs eminent domain decisions ... stupid plastic Barbie.


As for the "new hippies" of the Tea Party and attitude change I noticed:

The problem with the Republicans is the fact that most of the fanatics follow a loud mouthed pill popping drug addict named Rush "Limpbrain" Limbaugh !!!

Rush is an attention whore trying to spout as much BS as he can to justify his 400 million dollar contract, he is the radio version of the National Inquirer, he just happens to be a political whore who sold out long ago.

He is a propagandist, but the gig pays well and Bush rewarded Limbaugh for selling out the American people.

It's funny that you mention the drugs. It pissed me off to no end that people defended him for being a junky.

I listen to Rush, Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage, Mark Levin, and a few others. I can't stand Hannity, Medved, Olber-dork, O'Reilly 50% of the time.

LOL. Well, I take them all with a grain of salt. God knows I have to listen to talk radio. If I hear Stairway to Heaven one more time, my head is going to explode.

I'd have to say my two favorites are Mark Levin and Dr. Laura. But since they come on late, I don't listen to them often.

To be honest, politics sucks, one of the reasons I discuss it is because I really do hate the corruption of it all and all the lies and propaganda.

It would be nice if these guys actually cared about the citizens instead of their own special interests.

You know that is why the founding fathers gave a constitution to follow, it is too bad that has been thrown out the door by those in power who are supposed to follow it, but that is how lawyers get paid, so they dance around the law and break the rules in the name of money.

PS: Judges are lawyers.
